Didnt do much today, just lazed around at my grandma's house, and played loads of games lol. But I am feeling so inspired right now. I just saw one of the best performances ever in Rockstar: INXS! All remaining 6 rockers did a freaking awesome job, and their performances tonight was simply phenomenal. Its gonna be hard to choose who will be the bottom 3 this week. I just have to wait till tomorrow to find out.
Went through one of my exams today. It was kinda ok, not as hard as I thought it would be. There were times where I doubted myself that this is a prank, that there will be a tougher paper after this one. But fortunately for me, there wasnt, and now there's only one paper left. After that, my first official semester at APIIT will be over.
After the exam was over, I followed a couple of my friends to town, as some of them wanted to get games and movies. Think of it as a stress reliever hehe. On the way back, I received a call from my sister in law, she wanted me to accompany her to get dinner. Then I thought to myself, since one of my paper is over, and since my next paper is gonna be on Saturday, why not sleep over at my grandma's, and celebrate? So I did, and played PS2 with my eldest bro till early morning. Talk about a celebration lol.
I am so full rite now, so much so that I feel like throwing up at this moment. I just got back from my fren's grandma's place. They had this barbeque party for his birthday and his cousin's birthday. Ive been eating non stop ever since I got there, and now Im paying the consequences ^^; My fren sent me back after the barbeque, and in his car, I really felt like throwing up. He felt the same way too, as both of us really ate a lot earlier. This is so not good, and its uncomfortable too. I just hope that everything will be ok when I sleep later lol.
I went to college just now (its like 2am now). They had this event, Multicultural Night 2005. Some friends of mine were going, and they persuaded me to go, so I went along. Suprisingly, there were a whole lot of people. And the food wasnt great! Shouldnt have paid 5 bucks for the whole thing lol. So anyways, the event started, the MCs werent that great. They tried to do a little too much in trying to impress the crowd. I think they should have just be themselves. As for the performances, it was good...at first. Then it got boring, and then there was this sketch that some of the students did, and I didnt understand it. Its bad enough that they were speaking softly, but the sound system was bad too!
Despite all of that, it was still ok I guess. A lot of people left at some point during the event, but my friends and I remained till the end of the event, as one of our friend was performing. After the event was done, they opened the dance floor. I danced for a bit, then it got boring, then I went back. I left the college feeling a little sad, more towards the lonely area. I'll not elaborate on that, as its a little personal to be telling everyone about it ^^;
I wonder if there's gonna be more events after this one, and I also wonder if it'll be better than this one too. Time will tell, I guess.
Went to town with my dad today, as we had to go to Citibank's office to collect his cheque. So anyways, on our way there, there was an accident. I dont really know how it happened, but suddenly the car in front of us stopped, and the car next to it also stopped, and both drivers came out and ran over to the guy. I couldnt get a good look because the car was blocking my view, but I saw one of the drivers pushing a motorcycle to the end of the road, and saw the other driver helping the motorcyclist on his feet. I dont know how he got hit, whether he fell on his own, or someone banged him from behind, but it sure did cause a traffic jam haha.
After the scene was settled, we drove off. And then I saw this absolutely stupid motorcyclist almost crashing in a car in front of him. He was looking to the side, and when he looked ahead the car had already stopped and he quickly turned to the left, almost falling off! That guy is a lucky bastard as the car on the left was quite a way back from him, or he would have hit the car and we would have another accident on our hands. When I saw that happened, I thought to myself, do these people really wanna die that much? But I dont care, as we will have less stupid people in this world...
Ahh, its been so long since I last updated this little site of mine. Far too long. Im sorry for the lack of updates guys, its just that Ive been really really busy with my assignments that I dont have the time to update regularly. My assignments are over by the way. Its over until I get new ones in the next semester that is. But that will be a different story altogether.
I have loads to write, but Im feeling lazy. I mean, I cant remember most of the stuff anyways. But what I can remember is my last assignment submission. Its a group assignment, with 5 members in a group, and we were supposed to submit the assignment on Monday the 22nd August, before 7pm. The night before, I text messaged my group members to meet up at 10am, to finish up some loose ends of the assignment. I was already in college at 8.30am that day, because there was one part which I didnt know how to do, and asked my other fren to help me with it.
So anyways, it was 10 o'clock, and my group members were nowhere to be seen. Two of them (they're a couple) came at around 10.20, and the first thing they asked me was whether I completed the system or not. I was like thinking to myself, what the fuck? you're the one who was supposed to do the bloody system, and why are you asking me? But then I told him no, I had some problem with the database connectivity, and then when I looked at his face, I could see that he wasnt satisfied. So he started working on it with his girlfriend. I then ask about another part of the work that he was supposed to do, and you know what he asked me? "I thought you said you wanted to do it?" I was staring at him in disbelief, because when we had a meeting the other day, he said that he will do that part. Then I told him its ok, I'll do it and he just kept quiet.
Then I asked his girlfriend about her part, and she told me that its still not done yet, since she dunno how to do it. I was a little pissed at this point, but I just told her to try and do it slowly. I was doing my own work at this time, and one of them asked about our other group members. I called one of them, he told me he's still at home, doing his part. I couldnt believe what I heard, we're supposed to submit this fucking assignment today, and he is still doing it? I then asked him when he's coming, he told me after lunch. Fine. I know my other group member will come whenever she feels like it, so I didnt bother calling her. At least she did her part. I saw that the couple was like, making a scene in front of me, like they're not satisfied that they're being forced to work. I heard them talking in chinese, and they thought I wouldnt understand, but they're wrong! Somehow, I know what they're talking about, and its all about me, no suprise there. At this time, I was helping out the girl, doing her part on my pc. Then after a while, the both of them gave up and told me that they couldnt do this part, they dont know how to do. I turned my monitor around and showed them that I manage to get it to work, while they were just sitting there whining and complaining about why it doesnt work. I told them to read up on the notes that the lecturer gave regarding this part, but they just browsed through the thing, without reading it. I then asked them if they added a particular MIME type in the pc, and they looked at each other, trying to hide their embarrassment.
After that, I showed them how to do it, and they finally got it to work. Sigh, always want to wait for me to tell them what to do, dumbasses! Anyways, to cut the story, my other group member came with unfinished work, and we only submitted the assignment 5 minutes before 7 that day. And...the cd had some problems in it, but I was too pissed to even care about it, and told them we can just change it during presentation. I was at a point where I dun give a fuck about assignments anymore. Sigh, what a day.
I learned something during the whole duration of working on my assignments. The limits of friendships will be tested, we might end up losing some, but we also gain more from it. And another thing, NEVER EVER DO LAST MINUTE WORK!!! EVER!!!!
Ok, I think I should stop now. I'll update regularly from now on, but my manga blog might be a little slow ^^; Also, Im thinking of revamping this site...again. But it all depends on whether Im successful or not. Laters...
