Had a rather interesting experience on my way back from work this afternoon. The company allowed the Muslim staff to leave at 1PM today, hence my reason for leaving early today. After finishing up my work and saying my goodbyes to my colleagues, I headed out from the office. The ride down the elevator was the usual one, until I felt it jerked a few seconds before reaching one of the stops it was supposed to make. 2 people entered the lift, and we then waited for it to go down to the ground floor. Once there, the doors won’t open, and we were stuck in the bloody elevator for an hour.

There were 5 people in the elevator including, and 3 of them kinda panicked. I had my iPod on so I didn’t really bother much about being stuck there, except for the fact that I really wanted to piss. I was reminded of this song by The Darkness called ‘Stuck in a Rut‘, and it just kept on playing in my head while we waited for the doors to open. When it did though, we found ourselves on the 48th floor. So we had to take another elevator down and thankfully, there were no problems with the ride down.

I don’t think I would ever want to get caught inside the elevator if it malfunctions again though. Once is more than enough.
